Hi, I’m Vivian

My journey with Pilates began as an exploration of mindful movement and self-care, and evolved into a devoted practice of Contrology: the art of mastering the body through the mind.

As a certified mat Pilates instructor, I invite students to move with awareness, refine control, and find balance between strength and ease—so that movement becomes a path to inner stability and vitality.

I focus on cultivating awareness of healthy posture and mindful alignment, helping you discover how the way you move, breathe, and carry yourself can bring more balance into daily life.

Wherever you are in your journey, I’ll meet you there, to help you reconnect with your breath, your body, and your sense of strength from within.

By integrating Pilates principles into daily life, I continue to cultivate a deeper sense of mind body harmony, both for myself and those I teach.

“It is the mind itself which builds the body.”

Joseph Pilates (1883-1967)

Yoga is the union of body, mind, and breath — between your inner self and the greater universe.

As a yogi, I embrace the path of self-awareness, surrender, and balance. I believe yoga teaches us to move through life with intention — to stay grounded amid change, and to find inner peace through discipline and compassion.

In my yoga classes, I invite you to connect deeply with yourself, honor your personal journey, and nurture a sense of harmony.

“You are not the wave. You are the ocean in the form of a wave.”

Having grown up in China, I’m deeply rooted in Eastern wisdom—shaped by Traditional Chinese Medicine, which I learned from my grandmother; the Taoist principle of Dao (道), which teaches us to “find the natural flow within”; and Mahāyāna Buddhism, which emphasizes inner compassion and wisdom.
After living in England and now calling the Netherlands home since 2013, I’ve also been shaped by Western ways of being.
This multicultural journey is an integral part of who I am. It naturally informs how I live—and how I teach both Pilates and yoga—offering a practice that’s grounded, intuitive, and accessible across cultures.

My full name is Wang Mengran (王梦苒)

In China each name holds a meaning, mine speaks of dreaming and growing

This meaning continues to guide and remind me that the earth is a school, we are here to experience, to learn and to grow.

“He who conquers others is strong; he who conquers himself is mighty.”

I’m also a nature lover.

Spending time in nature reminds me of the profound nourishing wisdom that lies in simply being — not rushing, not striving, just allowing things to unfold in their own rhythm.

The cycle of the seasons, the softness of the wind, the stillness of a tree — they’ve all taught me more about balance, patience, and presence than any book ever could. This connection to nature deeply informs how I move, how I teach, and how I live.
